Glass's Guide

The Glass's International AG is a service provider for the international car trade. It was formed in 2000 from the merger of the Swiss car market research firm Eurotax with the British car market observers Glass's Information Systems and has its headquarters in free stream in the canton of Schwyz. The merger was approved by the investor group HMTF (formerly Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Inc.), which the two companies had recently bought. 2006, the new large companies was acquired by the British private equity firm Candover to 480 million euros. The expansion in Eastern Europe should be continued.

The company operates in 31 countries and employs 530 people. Glass's has information on more than 360,000 old and new vehicles - from mopeds and passenger cars to trucks, construction machinery and vintage cars - over 1000 manufacturers. This information is available in numerous publications.

The customers are car manufacturers, dealers, fleet and lease companies, workshop and repair companies, financial institutions, insurance companies and suppliers to the automotive industry.

History

Glass's was founded in 1933 by William Glass in the UK and has accordingly comprehensive record of the car market, which were co-sponsored in the new joint venture.
