Glénan Islands
The Glénan islands or Glénaninseln (French Îles de Glénan or Archipel des Glénan, just as " les Glénan " ) are an Atlantic archipelago in the French Brittany in the département of Finistère.
Location
The islands are located about ten miles ( 18.5 km ) south of the village Fouesnant to mainland France ( headquarters ) and consist of nine islands and more than a dozen small islands. The main island is Saint -Nicolas. Other large islands (also called Guéotec ) Quignénec, Bananec, Brunec and Cigogne Bananec, Hole, Penfret, Drénec, Guiautec.

On the Glénan islands, the famous French sailing school Les Glénans that here today has its largest base form with the Fort Cigogne uses were, and the diving school Centre International de Plongée of Glénan (French for: International Diving Center the Glénaninseln ), was founded.
