Glenn Yarbrough

Glenn Yarbrough ( born January 12, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States) is an American singer and guitarist.

Life

Yarbroughs first recording was in 1951, the single "Follow the Drinking Gourd " / " The Reaper 's Ghost ". After he had already become known as a solo singer, he founded with Louis Gottlieb and Alex Hassilev 1959, the band The Limeliters, with which he was able to celebrate successes, especially in the early 1960s. Yarbrough was tenor singer and guitarist of the band.

After this time, he published again under his own name; He is best known for the title "Baby the Rain Must Fall " ( U.S. hit at No. 12, 1965).
