Glinder Au, inflows in the Glinder mill pond

The Glinder Au is a 17 km long right tributary of the Bille from the Stormarn (Schleswig -Holstein) with muzzle in Hamburg- Billstedt.

The source of Glinder Au is located northeast of Stellau (municipality Barsbuettel ), located about 500 m south of the Braaker mill. It flows south and passes under the federal motorway 24 There in the recreation area Friederici Park it feeds the Glinder Mill Pond and drove past a copper mill on. Then it flows through the city Glindemann and then turns against the embankment of the former südstormarnschen circular path towards the west, where the Glinder Au forms the border between Oststeinbek and its neighborhood Havighorst, here at Good Domhorst was a powder mill ( 1581 built ) on Domhorster mill pond. Further west, just behind the right-hand tributary trout stream is still in the mill pond of Oststeinbek. Behind they reached Hamburg area, flows north of Mümmelmannsberg, is again to the lake ( wasteland stone Furth's Diekmann, created in the 1970s along Steinfurther Diekmann, provided as a natural monument with rare birds and butterflies - also very popular with model boat owners ). After passing through a fish ladder it passes under the creek again as A 1, where it widens below to Kirchsteinbek ( Steinbeker ) mill pond, and to finally open about one kilometer south of it in the Bille.

In the 1970s, the Glinder Au north of Glindemann was completely seeps due to gravel extraction.
