Glisno, Gmina Lubniewice

Glisno ( German glare ) is a Polish village in Gmina Lubniewice in powiat Sulęciński. It is located 6 km south of the small town Lubniewice and 12 km north of Sulęcin.

History

The first mention dates from the year 1421st center of the long time predominantly agricultural village was a manor. In order 1790-93, the landlords started to build a castle, which exhibits strong echoes of Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam. In 1806, the then lord of the manor district president of Poser founded a Alaunwerk, which existed until 1854.

1818/19 the manor glare of Israel Moses Henochsohn was purchased, a Jewish citizen of Berlin, who invested a lot in the village. In 1823 he founded a silk factory, after 1829 settled the remaining members of the Seidenwirkergilde from Frankfurt (Oder ) to glare. Already in 1835-1838, the factory was expanded. In addition, in the area develops Heiminustrie. In the surrounding villages sericulture, mulberry plantations flourished emerged.

Since 1824, Enoch was a ferruginous spring up a Kurbetrieb. The castle served now as a spa and luxury hotel.

Enoch donated the church of the village, a new building of the church according to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, who was inaugurated in 1837.

1841 textile factory and landlord farming were separated.

1854 Alaunproduktion has been set, expanded and modernized the production of silk against it. For the power supply was a local coal deposits, a cable car transported the coal from the mine to the factory.

1857 bought Hans Karl Otto von Wartenberg the estate, hired the cure and modernized agriculture. 1910 left the family Wartenberg extend the castle by 13 meter long wings.

In 1922 the textile factory was converted after a change in ownership of silk on linen production.

1946, the state farm was officially established.

After the Second World War, the castle was originally the seat of the state farm, then it housed from 1968 to 1978 a branch factory of Kalisz plush and velvet factory ( Fabryka Kaliska Pluszu i Aksamitu ). Since 1978, it was under the woiwodschaftlichen Agricultural Advisory Centre in Lubniewice ( Königswalde ), since 2005 it belongs to the Agricultural Advisory Centre of the Lubusz Voivodeship.
