Globen metro station

Globes is an aboveground station Stockholm subway. It is located in Johanneshov district. The station is served by the Gröna linjen the Stockholm subway system as well as the light rail similar Tvärbanan which holds at the northern entrance of the station. The station is one of the more moderate frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day rise 5,000 commuters here.

The station was opened on September 9, 1951 under the name Slakthuset, as the portion of the Gröna linjen Gullmarsplan - Stureby went into operation. On November 19, 1958, the name was changed to Isstadion. The station received its present name until 1989 when the entertainment district Globes was opened. The station is located between the stations Enskede gård and Gullmarsplan. Stockholm Central Station is only 4.5 km.
