Glückshaus

Lucky house is a medieval fortune game for multiple players on a board with two dice.

The game is also known under the following names: Seven, Lucky Pig, House of Fortune and Pink.

Regulate

The game plan is (but often without the number 4 ) divided into fields with the numbers 2 to 12, the fields are arranged as rooms of a house. Players roll the dice in turn, depending on the eyes sum the following occurs:

  • If a player rolls the number 12, he is king and wins all the coins that may be on the board: the field with the number 12 is, therefore, usually marked with a crown.
  • In the middle of the house - in room number 7 - is a wedding instead: who rolls a 7, you must bring a gift and put a coin in this field.
  • Who rolls a 2, has pig: he wins all the coins found on the board, except those on field 7
  • For all other litters applies: the corresponding field is empty, so you have to store it there a coin; However, lying on the field already a coin, we may take this.
  • Is played on a board with no 4 so happens - if a 4 is rolled - either nothing, or it occurs any pre-agreed rule in force.

Gambling

The game ends when all players have lost to a their money. With children, it can, however, also with candy, pretzels, etc. play. Of course you can also end the game earlier, and the remaining on the board inserts are distributed among the players still remaining.

Material

The game is not commercially available, but the material can be readily prepared themselves. As a board, a solid, painted wood board is preferable, a piece of leather or linen, on which the fields can be recorded is conceivable. For historical game boards the playing fields were often illustrated with different motives. If you want to replay the game today, at least the "Event Fields " particularly marked, even if it is just - is rough sketches or symbols that remind you of the rules of the game - as shown above. As tokens is stackable coins or tokens of all kinds are will take up around 5 pieces per person. Who wants to play one of the variants with 10 fields, you must omit the " 4" and order the game board accordingly different. A diced Four simply means " exposing ".
