Glyvrar [ gli ː vɹaɹ ] ( Danish name: Glibre ) is a place of the Faroe Islands on the island of Eysturoy.

Glyvrar is located in the settlement area related to Runavík on Skálafjørður, the longest fjord in the Faroe Islands.

The largest local employer is the fish factory Bakkafrost.

The village church dates from 1927 and was expanded in 1981. There is also the remarkable village museum Bygdasavnið Forni.
