Gmina Jerzmanowice-Przeginia

The Gmina Jerzmanowice - Przeginia is a rural commune ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat Krakowski in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The seat of the municipality is located in the village Jerzmanowice.

Geography

The community Jerzmanowice - Przeginia is located about 22 km northwest of Krakow and it has a surface area of 68.39 km ². 85 % of its territory is used for agriculture, 9% is covered by forest. To the north lies the Kraków - Częstochowa highland and there are 41 registered natural monuments on the territory of the municipality.

History

The Gmina Jerzmanowice - Przeginia created in 1976 from the merger of Gmina Jerzmanowice and of Gmina Przeginia. Like the previous two communities include the newly created municipality Jerzmanowice - Przeginia to the existing 1975 to 1998 Cracow Province.
