Gnaeus Cornelius Scipio Calvus

Gnaeus Cornelius Scipio Calvus († 211 BC) was a Roman general and statesman.

Gnaeus was the son of Lucius Cornelius Scipio Publius Cornelius Scipio and his brother. It was in the year 222 BC, Consul and fought in the Second Punic War from 218 BC on the Iberian Peninsula. Even in 218 BC he succeeded in the Battle of Cissa a victory over the Carthaginian commander Hanno and the chief of the tribe of the Iberian Ilergetes, Indibilis, both got into his captivity. Gnaeus Cornelius Scipio was killed in the year 211 BC at the Battle of Ilorci.
