Gö Lotsawa

Gö Lotsawa Shönnu Pel ( Tib: ' gos lo tsa ba gzhon nu dpal; * 1392, † 1481, the translator Shönnu Pel of the Gö ) was a historian, author and Lama of Tibetan Buddhism.

Gö Lotsawa Shönnu Pel was a pupil of Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelugpa, from whom he received Lamrim instructions. From the 5th Karmapa Deshin Shegpa he received the bodhisattva vows. The 7th Karmapa Chodrag Gyatsho he conveyed his hand the " Semdrel Korsun " (Tibetan: sems ' grel skor gsum, the " Bodhisattva Trilogy" ).

The literary life's work ( Tib: gsung 'bum ) Shönnu Pels comprises 10 volumes. Among his most famous works are the "Blue Annals " ( Tib: deb ther sngon po), which have been translated into English by George Roerich and Gendun Choephel and his Commentary on the Ratnagotravibhaga.
