Goalball

Goalball is the world's most popular ball sport for people with visual impairment and paralympic since 1976. The objective of the game is to throw a 1250 g heavy bell ball into the opponent's goal. Game History

The game, which is played blindfolded, takes 2 x 12 minutes. The ball must not be thrown if the referee's instruction " play" is issued. Goalball is the most widely used ball sport for people with visual impairment worldwide. History

This sport was developed by the Austrian Hans Lorenzen and German Sepp Reindle for war invalids and played for the first time in 1946.

Goalball in Germany
