God Dethroned

God Dethroned (English " dethroned God ") was a death metal band from the Netherlands.

History

God Dethroned was founded in 1990 by Henri Sattler. After a demo recording they released in 1992 their debut album The Christian Hunt. After problems with the other band members and the record label Sattler broke up the band. However Sattler in 1994 founded the thrash metal band Ministry of terror, she left after the recording of the album Fall of Life and a European tour and founded God Dethroned again with new members. After the release of the grand grimoire in 1997 followed successful tours among others Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Immortal and Marduk and appearances on big open air festivals, such as the Dynamo, Wacken and Summer Breeze. In the years 1999, 2000 and 2001, the albums Bloody blasphemy, The ancient ones and Ravenous were published. After numerous tours throughout Europe and America followed in 2003 their sixth album titled Into the lungs of Hell, which they succeeded in the global breakthrough. In the summer of 2004, God Dethrond was booked for numerous festivals. They played among other again at the Summer Breeze, With Full Force and at the Vienna metal festival. In autumn 2004 the band released the album The liar of the white worms. Followed in 2006 The toxic touch. October 18, 2008 Isaac Delahaye played his last concert with God Dethroned on the Rekwi Festival and moved in early 2009 to the Dutch symphonic metal band Epica. 2009, the last album Passiondal with Roel Sanders and Susan Gerl was published. The last concert, in particular intended for all American fans, was held Tons of Metal cruise on 26 January 2012 at 70,000.
