God Forbid

God Forbid was a Thrash-Metal-/Metalcore-Band from East Brunswick, New Jersey (USA).

History

God Forbid was founded in 1998. In the same year the debut EP Out of Misery appeared. A year later the debut album Reject The Sickness followed at 9 Volt Records. The band toured with various other groups such as GWAR, Cradle of Filth, Nile or Candiria and built a fan base. Century Media took them under contract and then 2001 the band released the second album determination. The band played on the Headbangers Ball tour with Shadows Fall and Lamb of God. In Europe, people became aware only by the 2004 published Gone Forever album on God Forbid. On this album guest appearances Jeff Loomis of Nevermore and Symphony X. Michael Pinnella of An invitation to the Ozzfest tour through North America. 2005 and 2006 God Forbid toured with Trivium. Constitution of Treason, which was published in 2006: During the tour, the fourth studio album IV was born. This is a concept album about the end of the world. Appeared in 2007 with Sickness and Misery a re-release of Out of Misery and Reject the Sickness on a CD. In 2009, the album Earthsblood appeared, the Limited Edition includes a bonus CD with 13 live songs that were in February 2007, the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, was added.

God Forbid will be happy and often plugged into the Metalcore. In recent years, the band's music has changed in the direction of melodic thrash metal.

2009 Dallas Coyle announced that he would leave the band amicably. New guitarist was Matt Wicklund. When in August 2013 Doc Coyle also announced his retirement, was announced by Corey Pierce, the band had broken up. Byron Davis confirmed this.
