Godehard Link

Godehard Link (* July 7, 1944 in Eickelborn ) is a German philosopher, Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Science and Associate Dean at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich.

Life

After studying mathematics, graduating with a diploma, he received his doctorate in philosophy in 1974. In 1978 he qualified as a professor at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich. There he became in 1980 professor of logic and philosophy of science.

Research and teaching

He was from 1995 to 2001 Speaker of the interdisciplinary graduate program " language, information, logic," SIL.

1995 to 1999 he headed the research project " Ontological reduction in the light of meta-mathematical methods " and since 2001, together with Prof. Volkerts the research project "History of proof theory ".

In 2001, he organized the International Conference on One Hundred Years of Russell 's Paradox from 2 to 5 June 2001 in Munich.

Within the project " Formal structures and cognition ", which was carried out in collaboration with the Parmenides Center for the Study of Thinking and the Humanities Center at LMU, he took over in 2002 and 2003, the organization of workshops on the subject of "logic and philosophy of science ".
