Godfrey Reggio
Godfrey Reggio ( born March 29, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA) is an American film director.
Life
Reggio spent 14 years in a monastery of the Christian Brothers. He worked in New Mexico as a teacher and social worker and was a founding member of several social organizations. He collaborated among others with the American Civil Liberties Union. In 2006 he participated in the Stock Exchange of Visions project.
He became known through his Qatsi Trilogy: Koyaanisqatsi (1983 ), Powaqqatsi (1988) and Naqoyqatsi ( 2002).
