Naqoyqatsi is the third part of the Qatsi trilogy by Godfrey Reggio. " Naqoyqatsi " is a word from the language of the Hopi Indians, which means as much as "A life of Murder ," " war as in life ," (interpreted ) " Civilized violence." The film was released in 2002 in theaters.

Content

Theme of the film are violence and destruction that are cultivated in many facets of our technological world, almost. Here, this issue is not, however, treated to a moralizing way, but with the help of a highly distorted images flood. Almost 80 percent of the images are digitally altered archival footage.

Like the previous two parts, Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi, Naqoyqatsi also comes completely without dialogue. Philip Glass composed the music, cello solos are played by Yo- Yo Ma.
