Gods Lake

The Gods Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It is located 250 km northeast of Lake Winnipeg and 400 km south-west of Hudson Bay and has a length of 80 km from east to west and a width of 45 km from north to south with an area of 1,061 km ², which is slightly twice as large as Lake Constance. In the lake there are numerous islands, the largest of them, Elk Iceland, is about 20 km long and accommodates itself again smaller lakes. Two American Indian communities, each with a small airfield located on the lake, Gods Lake Narrows Gods River in the southwest and the northeast.
