Goincourt

Goincourt is a commune with 1240 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Oise in the Picardie region. It belongs administratively to the arrondissement and canton of Beauvais Beauvais- Sud -Ouest.

Geography

The municipality is located in the metropolitan area west of Beauvais, about 60 kilometers northwest of Paris. Neighboring communities of Goincourt are:

• Beauvais in the east,
• Aux Marais in the south,
• Rainvillers in the southwest,
• Saint -Paul in the West and
• Le Mont -Saint -Adrien in the northwest.

The town itself is located on the left bank of the river Avelon, which opens in Beauvais in the Thérain.

The municipal area is the National Road 31 ( Beauvais - Rouen ) - crosses, rail connection is given in Beauvais and the Territory road 981 ( Gisors Beauvais ).
