Gokwe centre

Gokwe is a city in the Midlands Province in Zimbabwe in 1300 m height.

History

Before 1950, the districts of Gokwe North and South were very sparsely populated. Today, over 400,000 people are counted. It is the core area of illegal immigration to Zimbabwe since 1950. Illegal immigrants find refuge in the surrounding villages.
