Goldene Leslie

The Golden Leslie is a youth book price.

The prize is awarded to a work of fiction YA a living German author, which was published for the first time last year. The award is associated with 2,000 euros and a trophy, the "Golden Leslie". Namesake of the prize is the mascot of the campaign " love of reading in Rhineland -Palatinate ," the bookworm " Leslie".

The five-member preliminary jury, which consisted of 2007 Stefan Gemmel ( Author), Gunda Brief ( literature Mainz Office ), Angela Magin ( city library Speyer ), Katja Tisza ( kjl -online ) and Dr. Yvonne Wolf ( University of Mainz), selects a proposal teenager a shortlist. The winning book itself is determined by a youth jury.
