Ecological Significance

Since the Goldersbach one of the few remaining unspoilt creeks in Baden- Württemberg, is to be found in Goldersbach also some rare species, such as the iridescent kingfisher. The Goldersbach led in the past centuries in Tübingen -Lustnau several times to heavy flooding. His flow behavior has been intensively studied in the 1980s by the Geological Institute of the University of Tübingen. For discussion at that time was the construction of a flood - control reservoir in Goldersbach. Such reservoirs was inaugurated in March 2012.
