Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia ( Austell, Georgia, United States) is a steel roller coaster model from hyper coaster manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, opened on 1 April 2006.
The track is 61 m high, the length is 1365.5 m and reaches a top speed of 113 km / h It is located on an area of 3.4 hectares and is the fourth roller coaster manufacturer in Six Flags Over Georgia.
Goliath has two trains with nine cars. In each car four people can (a series à four people) take place. As a lap bar restraint system are used.
Incident
In July 2006, a 45 year old man died during a ride on Goliath after he had a heart attack. When the train reached the station he was already unconscious. An autopsy found that the man had a congenital heart disease, and it was expected that the coroner would call a natural death as the reason. Goliath was closed for two hours to inspect it but no errors were found.
