Goodradigbee River

Goodradigbee River in the Brindabella Valley

Bridge in Wee Jasper

The Goodradigbee River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales.

It rises near the Tantangara reservoir in Kosciuszko National Park, at an altitude of 1650 m, flows north and empties into Lake Burrinjuck and thus into the Murrumbidgee River. The largest part of its catchment area ( 95%) is forested. Overall, this catchment area is 1101 km ². Some of the water in the upper reaches is derived via an aqueduct to Tantangara reservoir, but otherwise there are no dams on the river. 1968 laid the Development Commission of the Australian Capital Territory, to build in the Brindabella Valley a dam, should be derived from the water via a tunnel into the Cotter River.

The bridge over the river in Wee Jasper was completed in 1896. She is listed as an early example of a wooden truss bridge from the Allen- type in the list of monuments of New South Wales.
