Upper Gooseberry Falls

The Gooseberry River is a tributary of Lake Superior in the U.S. state of Minnesota.

The river rises in the Superior National Forest east of Kane Lake and south of the Marble Lake. He initially flows in a southerly direction, and later he turns to the southeast and east. The last kilometers before flowing northeast of Silver Creek in the Lake Superior runs the flow within the Gooseberry Falls State Park. Here the Gooseberry River overcomes several waterfalls. The Minnesota State Route 61 crosses the river near the mouth.

The Gooseberry River has a length of 37 km. Its catchment area covers 70.7 km ².
