Goplans

The Goplanen (Latin Glopeani what about " residents of Goplosees " means ) were a westslawischer tribe in what is now Poland mean you probably lived in the wider environment of the Goplosees.

In written sources, they are mentioned only once, in the Descriptio regionum et civitatum an unnamed well-known so-called Bavarian Geographer, whose origin can be dated to the first part of the period around 845. This regio of Glopeani is called with 400 castles. For more information not available to the text.

In the Polish research the Glopeani are generally brought to Gopło - Sea in conjunction. , Hence the name Goplanen. Near the Goplosees are the centers of the early Polish state as the Piast Poznan, Gniezno and also Kruszwica, so there are many arguments for this assignment.

The further development of the tribe of Glopeani is due to lack of information at all clear.

The tribal confederation of Goplanen probably went to at least the 10th century in the state of the Piast dynasty and thus in the later people of Poland.
