Góra Puławska

Góra Puławska is a village in Gmina Pulawy in the powiat Puławski, Lublin Voivodeship, Poland. Góra Puławska is located on the Vistula River, about four miles south-west from Pulawy and 49 kilometers west of Lublin.

History

The settlement was probably in the 10th / 11th century, but the names of the landowners are known only since the 13th century. In 1508 belonged to the Location Jan Jarocki of Jaroszyn of the family of Rawicz, 1731 August Aleksander Czartoryski. The Czartoryski built 1811 manor house, which existed until 1939. By the end of the 19th century, the family in the village also operate a restaurant and a brewery. The possession of the Czartoryski was confiscated as a result of the November Uprising. The last landed nobility in Góra Puławska were up to the Second World War, members of the Reinthal family.

During World War II the city was heavily damaged. The reconstruction lasted until 1956. 2010 Góra Puławska had 2123 inhabitants.

Attractions

Sights include the Church of St. Adalbert ( Sw. Wojciech ), which was restored by August Aleksander Czartoryski 1767-1781 heard.
