Gorica Aćimović

Gorica Aćimović (born 28 February 1985 in Banja Luka ) is a Bosnian handball player who has Austrian citizenship since 2007.

Aćimović played in the 2003/04 season in the French first division Merignac HB, with whom she participated in the EHF Challenge Cup. In January 2004, the backcourt player joined the Austrian club Hypo Niederösterreich Austria, with whom she repeatedly won the league and cup double in the coming seasons. From summer 2009 until the end of the season 2010/11 she played for the Danish top club Viborg HK. With Viborg won the 2010 EHF Champions League and the Danish Championship. In 2011 Aćimović joined the Slovenian club RK Krim Ljubljana. With Crimea in 2012 she won the Slovenian Cup and the championship. In summer 2012, she returned to hypo Lower Austria. With Hypo she won the 2013 European Cup Winners' Cup.

For Bosnia Aćimović played international matches for the youth team. Since its naturalization it belongs to the squad of the Austrian selection. At the World Handball Championship in China in 2009 but not in part they took.

Her partner Vytautas Ziura is also a well-known Austrian handball player.
