Viborg HK

Viborg HK ( Viborg Håndbold Club ) is a Danish handball club from Viborg. The women's team plays in the Danish league. The men's team also worked for many years in the highest Danish league.

History

Viborg HK was established in 1936. The women's team managed the 1989 promotion to the top Danish league. Since then she has won 13 championships and 10 national cups. In addition, they won six trophies at European level.

The men's team increased in 1999 in the top flight on. The best result was the runner-up in 2007. In May 2013, the club announced that he withdrew his men's team for the 2013/14 season for financial reasons. The men start a new beginning in the 2nd Division, the third- highest division.

The club operates a college which was attended among others by Pia Hildebrand.
