Heidi Tjugum

Heidi Marie Tjugum ( born September 5, 1973 in Drammen, Norway ) is a former Norwegian handball player.

Life

Tjugum began with ten years playing handball at Åssiden IF. Once the goalkeeper has been active for Glassverket IF, she moved to Bækkelagets SK, with whom she won the Norwegian championship in 1997. Between 1997 and 2003 she stood between the posts of the Danish club Viborg HK. The VKM she won in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 the championship and won the 1999 EHF Cup. In 2003 she played in their homeland in the north beach IF.

In the summer of 2005 Tjugum interrupted her career and was active in the 2005 /06 at Gjøvik og Vardal HK worked as a goalkeeper coach. In April 2007, it was reactivated by the German club HC Leipzig for the Final Four of the DHB Cup, which was won by HCL. From the summer of 2007, she was again active in the Norwegian league in Storhamar Håndball. In January she interrupted pregnancy caused her career. In August 2009 Tjugum brought a daughter into the world. In March 2010 she returned to the end of the season back into the goal Storhamar. In November 2011, she brought forth a son.

Tjugum completed 175 appearances for the Norwegian national handball team. With the Norwegian selection, she won the World Championship in 1999 and Vice World Cup 1997. Additionally, they triumphed with Norway at the European Championships in 1998 and won in 1996 and 2002, the vice - championship. At the Olympics she won the silver medal in 1992 and 2000 the bronze medal.
