Goshen College

The Goshen College is a Mennonite college in the United States. It was founded in 1894 in Elkhart, Indiana Elkhart as institutions. In 1903 the college moved to the nearby Goshen, where there is up to now the campus of the university. Currently, nearly 1,000 students are enrolled at Goshen College. The Goshen College has a liberal arts college, a wide range of courses. Besides courses in theology or conflict prevention courses in business, communication, Pädogogik, history, and American Sign Language are offered. Since 1968, the College of Goshen 's Study Service Term offers an international exchange program. The College sees itself as a Christian college, but also takes students from other Religionensgruppen on. As a Christian university, it is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

The Goshen College is also the seat of which was founded by Professor Harold Stauffer Bender 1906 Mennonite Historical Library ( to German Mennonite Historical Library ) and the magazine founded in 1927 Mennonite Quarterly Review. The library has a specialized library for Mennonite and Anabaptist history beyond North America significance. Also, the archives of the Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Central Committee are here. During the Second World War, the Goshen College was one of the training centers initiated by the Mennonite Central Committee community service programs.
