Gosick

Gosick ( GOSICK jap -ゴシック- Gosick - Goshikku of Gothic ) is a light novel series written by Kazuki Sakuraba and illustrated by Hinata Takeda. The nine -volume series was published by Fujimi Shobo 2003-2007. In 2007, it was adapted by Sakuya Amano as a manga series, which is still continuing and will appear in the magazine Monthly Dragon Age, which is also published by Fujimi Shobo.

Action

The action takes place in 1924, the fictional European country Sovouriens. There, the Japanese exchange student Kazuya Kujo (久 城 一 弥) Victorica learns ( Victorique in the English translation ) de Blois, a mysterious but also smart girl, which only leaves the library to sleep know. My brother uses her skills to difficult cases clear up what she continues again from the library. But one day her brother was caught.

The light novel series by Kazuki Sakuraba Gosick was written. The illustrations are by Hinata Takeda. The book series was published in full within Japan on 10 December 2003 until 10 April 2007. However, further editions were announced in conjunction with the release of the anime early 2011, which will continue the activity.

In Germany, the first six volumes between November 2006 and December 2008 from the publisher Tokyopop published. In English, the manga is also published by Tokyopop since April 2008.

Adaptations

Manga

The series was adapted in 2007 by Sakuya Amano as a manga series, which is still continuing and will appear in the magazine Monthly Dragon Age. A first chapter summaries as tankōbon was released on 9 July 2008. The manga has been published only within Japan.

Anime

In 2011, the animation studio Bones adapted the Light Novel series as an anime television series. The film was directed by Hitoshi Nanba here.

The first broadcast of the series began on the night of the 8th January 2011 and so on previous TV day on TV Tokyo. A few days later also started the transmitter TV Aichi, TV Osaka, TV Setouchi, AT- X and TVQ with the broadcast.

In the opening credits of the title Destin Histoire was used, which was interpreted by yoshiki * lisa. The end credits of the episodes 1-12 subbed entitled Resuscitated Hope. From the 13th episode Unity was used. Both tracks were sung by Lisa Komine.
