Gösta Johansson

Gösta Rudolf Torsten " Lill- Lull " Johansson ( born March 2, 1929 in Stockholm, † April 10, 1997 ) was a Swedish professional ice hockey player and coach.

Career

At club level, Gösta Johansson played first in the 1945/46 season for the IK Göta from the Division 1, of the then highest Swedish league. Then he ran 1947-1960 on for its league rivals Djurgårdens IF. With the Djurgårdens IF he won the national championship in 1950, 1954, 1955, 1958, 1959, 1960. Most recently, he appeared from 1960 to 1962 for Västerås IK. As head coach, he worked from 1976 to 1978 when HC Bolzano from the Italian Serie A1, with whom he won the championship in 1977 and 1978.

Internationally

For Sweden, Johansson participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1952 in part in Oslo, where he won the bronze medal with his team. As the best European team Sweden was also European champion. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1953 and 1954. During the 1953 World Cup, he won the gold medal with Sweden and was also with his country European champions. In the 1954 World Cup, he won the bronze medal with his team.

Gösta Johansson was the son of two-time Olympian in hockey Gustaf Johansson. He was married to the German figure skater Gundi Busch.
