Gotha Go 145

The Gotha Go 145 was a training aircraft of the Gotha Coach Factory Aktiengesellschaft. Between 1936 and 1940, nearly 1,200 were built.

History

The company Gotha wagon took the end of 1933 after 15 years of interruption aircraft again. The Go 145 it was the first natural development after the first world war. The Go 145 was designed as an advanced trainer aircraft in composite construction as an open two-seater biplane. As an engine of the Argus As 10 C came with 240 hp for installation. The serial production of the aircraft started in March 1936 and ended after 1120 built for the RLM Go 145 A in October 1938. Besides Gotha ( 584 aircraft) built Erla (106 aircraft), AGO (241 aircraft), BFW (115 aircraft) and Focke -Wulf (74 aircraft), the Go 145 under license. In 1936 were the first 30 aircraft will be exported to Turkey. In 1937 Austria 12 aircraft. During the Spanish Civil War 21 aircraft were delivered to Spain. For export purposes 1939 13 aircraft were again ( for Romania), built in 1940 ten aircraft. The planes in 1940 are believed to have been taken over for the Air Force. A total of 1,182 have been built without prototypes Go 145.

Series production of the Go 145:

To combat mission came the Go 145 1944/Anfang end of 1945, when it was used in the night battle groups 2 and 5 as Behelfskampfflugzeug.
