Gotha Go 146
The Gotha Go 146 was a civilian, small German aircraft.
History
Developed the aircraft was in 1935 by the Gotha Coach Factory headed by Dipl. -Ing. Albert Kalkert. The aircraft is a twin-engine, cantilevered low- wing monoplane with retractable landing gear and dreisitziger cabin. Configured it was as a travel and courier aircraft.
The prototype (D - and D- ILPC IFSL ) was equipped with two Argus As 10 C engines with 240 hp each. The first flight of the equipped with a hull made of smooth sheet and a tail made of wood machine was made in 1936. Due to the cramped cabin, it did not come to mass production. The five pre-production aircraft were later fitted with Hirth HM 508E engines with 280 PS, a wider fuselage, larger wing and integrated fuel tanks, but without convincing the Ministry of Aviation of the machine. A military use outside of the purposes as liaison aircraft did not take place.
