Goya (Original Title: Goya en Bordeaux, Video Title: Goya in Bordeaux ) is a Spanish film directed by Carlos Saura in 1999, he shows in a series of flashbacks the life of Spanish painter Francisco de Goya.

Action

The dove and sick Goya spent his last years in exile in France in Bordeaux, as he did not want to live in Spain under the rule of Ferdinand VII as a liberal.

Background

The film shows in the form of hallucinations and nightmares crucial stages in the life of the painter, as the relationship with the Duchess of Alba and the horrors of war against Napoleonic France.
