GPRS roaming exchange

GRX (GPRS Roaming Exchange ) is a centralized IP network that connects the GPRS networks of mobile operators with each other, thus enabling global roaming. GRX is specified fixed IR.34 recommendations in the International Roaming Expert Group ( IREG ) of the GSM Association. GPRS roaming is necessary for a smooth transition to the international 3G mobile services.

GRX provider

GRX providers such as the German Telekom and TeliaSonera GRX provide transport networks, and can enable the GPRS Roaming Exchange via the wireless service provider. The provider peeren to large meeting points, such as the AMS -IX.
