The Gradungulidae family is one of the genuine spiders. It includes 7 genera with 16 species. They are medium to large three -claw spiders have two pairs of book lungs as the bird arachnids. Members of the genus Gradungula lives in the litter layer of forests. Progundula is the only cribellate genus of the family. Produngula is a large, long-legged spider that looks similar Hickmania ( Austrochilidae ).

They weave extensive cobwebs, the above -lying residential area having a look forward from the threads to the threads of the scaffold ladder-like case, which in turn is glued to the ground.
