Graeme Pearson

Graeme Pearson ( born April 1, 1950) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party.

Life

Pearson attended St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Glasgow and studied at Glasgow University. He then worked for the police of Strathclyde and eventually became director of the Scottish crime and narcotics enforcement authority. He then worked as an honorary professor at Glasgow University and was director of the Institute for Studies on serious organized crime. Pearson is married and has one daughter.

Political career

The Scottish Parliament election 2011 Pearson went to the Labour Party. However, he applied not to the direct mandate of a constituency, but was set to the regional electoral list of the party for the election Region South Scotland. After the Labour Party had not received any list seats in this constituency since the opening of the Scottish Parliament in 1999, she won the elections in 2011 two.
