Graeme Smith (footballer born 1983)

Graeme Smith Meldrum ( born June 8, 1983 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish footballer who currently without a club is. It is easy to be confused with his namesake Graeme Smith of FC St. Johnstone; not only because they are both Scots and have the same name, but because they also play on the position of the goalkeeper.

Career

Smith played like its namesake in the Glasgow Rangers, but never both at the same time played at the club since Smith began his career here and the elder Smith in the course of his career, joining the Rangers. As a goalkeeper he was awarded in 2003 at Ross County, where he was employed as the first goalkeeper. Since 2005 he plays as a goalkeeper in the first Scottish League with FC Motherwell.

In August of 2006, he was for two games in the squad of the Scottish national team. As part of the European Championship qualifiers against Lithuania and Scotland played the Faroe Islands, but Smith denied any of the two games.
