Graham Payn

Graham Payn ( born April 25, 1918 in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa; † 4 November 2005 in Switzerland ) was a South African- British actor, comedian and singer.

Already at 13 he played at the Palladium the Curly in Peter Pan. In 1932, he appeared in Noel Coward revue Words and Music and in the subsequent period in pantomimes, plays and musicals. In 1948, he met for Tonight at 8:30 back to Coward, who wrote specially for Payn roles in his next West End musicals Pacific 1860 and Ace of Clubs. He was in time to the co-director and director of Coward's plays. The thirty -year friendship ended in 1973 with Coward's death. The last few years they both lived together in Switzerland.
