Grahanandan Singh

Grahanandan Singh ( born February 18, 1926 in Lyallpur ) is a former Indian hockey player. He won two Olympic gold medals and played at the 1948 Olympic Games in London and 1952 in Helsinki in each of the victorious Indian team.

The striker first gained notoriety when he was accepted at the College in Lahore in the hockey team. Until 1946 he was a member of the University of selection. 1944 and 1945 he was a member of the Punjab selection, later he was a member of the Bengal selection. From 1951 to 1955 and from 1957 to 1958 Singh approached for the selection of the Indian Navy.

Singh was a member of the Indian Navy and rose to the rank of Commander ( Commander). He lives in New Delhi.
