Granada 74 CF

The FC Granada 74 is a Spanish football club from the city of Granada. The club grew out of a merger of two clubs, the CP Granada 74, an amateur club from Granada and Ciudad de Murcia, which has been renamed and moved to Granada. Currently, the newly founded association plays in the Segunda División B.

History

In June 2007 it was announced that an investor based in Madrid Granada named Carlos Marsa second division Ciudad de Murcia took over, renamed it and 74 newly founded as FC Granada, Granada. This case is that of the English club FC Wimbledon comparable, which was changed to Milton Keynes Dons. All players who were in Ciudad under contract were given the opportunity to join the new club or the club to change a free transfer. In the end, only eight players remained, electing to join the new club, and so had to be put together an almost entirely new team.

In contrast to the first team, the B team sparked by new investor and became the first team in the Tercera División newly established as Ciudad de Lorqui CA.

Since Carlos Marsa served as president of CP Granada 74 you began by finding, like trying to buy himself a rise since the own club last year played only in the Tercera División. CP Granada 74 but did not disappear, but was incorporated as a reserve team of the new FC Granada 74 in the new club. Even with various youth teams and in other sports, there is a cooperation of CP Granada 74 with the new FC Granada 74

Initially, both FIFA and UEFA and the Spanish Football Federation RFEF presented against the renaming of the club. The Spanish football league LFP and the Spanish referee association, however, support the decision of the association. Finally, the LFP won the dispute before the International Court of Sport. The FC Granada 74 played his first official match on 25 August 2007 away at FC Cadiz. The first victory reached the new team in the Copa del Rey on 5 September 2007 against Sporting Gijon. Although we spent most of the season in the secure mid-table, the club was relegated again from the second division after just one year.

Stadium

The FC Granada 74 plays in the Estadio Escribano Castilla Motril, which has a capacity of 4,400 spectators. The stadium was inaugurated in 1997. Originally applied for the newly formed club matches at the Estadio Nuevo Los cármenes discharge, as this is, however, already used by two other teams, Granada CF and Granada Atlético its reserve team, the authorities rejected the concerns of the club's management.
