Grand Star Cargo was a cargo airline based in Tianjin in the People's Republic of China. The airline was a joint venture between Sinotrans Air Transportation Development Co., Ltd.. (51%), Korean Airlines Co., Ltd.. (25%), Hana Capital Co., Ltd.. (13% ) and the Shinhan Capital Co., Ltd.. (11% ) was founded. The airline hoped that synergies from the merger of the know-how of airfreight business of Korean Airlines and the logistics partner with Sinotrans, China's largest network. In May 2012, Sinotrans announced that Grand Star Cargo is liquidated after losses in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
