Grant Robertson

Grant Robertson ( born October 30, 1971 in Palmerston North ) is a New Zealand politician. Robertson has since the parliamentary elections in 2008 MP for the Labour Party in the New Zealand Parliament.

Life

Robertson's family lived during his childhood first in Hastings before moving to Dunedin. After leaving school, he studied political science at the University of Otago, where he in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts reached. 1994 Robertson was president of the Otago University Students 'Association and in 1996 he was president of the New Zealand University Students ' Association. After studying Robertson began on the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work. He was ordered as part of its activities, among others, to New York City at the United Nations and within the framework of the management of New Zealand's development programs to Samoa. He then returned to New Zealand and started for Marian Hobbs and later for the Prime Minister Helen Clark to work as an employee. 2005 Robertson took a position at the University of Otago. 2006 announced the MP Marian Hobbs, not to stand again for the parliamentary elections in 2008.
