Grațian Sepi

Gratian Sepi ( born December 30, 1910 in Valkány, Austria - Hungary, † March 6, 1977 ) was a Romanian football player. He played 81 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A, and participated in the World Cup 1934.

Career

Sepi started playing football at Banatul Timişoara, but moved at the age of 14 years to local rivals Politehnica Timişoara. In 1928 he returned to his hometown club back and was able to qualify for the finals with Banatul to the Romanian football championship, but bowed out of. Sepi then moved to Cluj România runner, but moved a year later, in 1930, to local rivals Universitatea further before it the professional team of Ripensia Timişoara joined.

Since Ripensia was not allowed to participate in the Romanian football championship, which was the amateurs reserved, Sepi nor returned in 1931 to Universitatea Cluj back. Since "U Cluj " in 1932 was one of the founding members of the Divizia A, he was first Gameday at it and was Romanian runner-up. Since the great success he never had in Cluj, Sepi moved in 1934 to the capital for top team Venus Bucharest. There he was in season 1936/37, the Romanian champions.

After the championship Sepi returned to Ripensia, which together with the Venus Divizia A dominated in the 1930s. He was already in the season 1937/38, followed the next championship, but came like last year hardly used. In 1939 Sepi Ripensia left and joined in 1940 the unterklassigen UM Cugir, where he finished his career in 1942.

National

Sepi played 23 games for the Romanian national football team, scoring 14 goals. His start he celebrated on April 15, 1928 against Turkey. Although he had been called regularly in the national team, Costel Rădulescu nominated in not for the Football World Cup 1930. Sepi Four years later came the single game against Czechoslovakia used.
