Graz is a city in Dauphin County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania in the United States with 676 inhabitants (as of 2000). The city is part of the " Harrisburg - Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area ."

Demography

According to the census of 2000, there were 676 people in 301 households and 194 families. The population density was 86.7 inhabitants per km ². The racial the population was composed of 99.56 % White, 0.30 % from other races, and 0.15 % mixed race. 1.18 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Of the 301 households out of which 22.9 % have children under the age of 18 living with them. 56.5 % were married couples living together, 4.7 % had a female householder with no husband, and 35.5% were non-families. 31.6 % of all households are made up and 18.6% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or over only. The average household size was 2.25 and the average family size was 2.81 persons.

In relation to the entire town the population was spread out with 19.1 % under the age of 18, 10.5 % from 18 to 24, 23.8 % between 25 and 44 years, 24.7% between 45 and 64 years and 21.9% were 65 years old or older. The average age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 103.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.1 men statistically.

The median income for a household was $ 32,917, and the median income for a family was $ 46,063. Males had a median income of $ 31,429, women $ 21,500. The per capita income was $ 16,837. 8.6 % of families and 14.3 % of the population were below the poverty line (including 14.9 % of children and 18.8 % of people over 65 years ).
