Grażyna Szapołowska

Grazyna Szapolowska ( born September 19, 1953 in Bydgoszcz, Poland) is a Polish actress.

Life

After high school had Grazyna Szapolowska her stage debut at Henryk Tomaszewski at the theater Pantomimy in Wroclaw. By 1977, she received her education at the State Drama School PWST in Warsaw, where she was subsequently to 1984 member of the ensemble of the National Theatre. After the first small roles in film and television, she focused completely on the film work. With the famous director Krzysztof Kieślowski she turned the mid-1980s, two films and thereby reached soon international attention. Since 1989, she also acts as a cabaret artist.

One of their biggest success was the female lead role of Telimena in Andrzej Wajda 's historical drama Pan Tadeusz, for which she received the Polish Film Award for Best Actress in 2000.
