The Karas Mountains are a mountain range in the south-east of Namibia and represent a major topography of the Namibian region ǁ Karas.

The Karas Mountains are divided into the Great Karas Mountains in the east ( Afrikaans: Groot Karas Mountains ), an approximately 75 -km-long bedrock massif that towers over the surrounding mostly flat plateaus around 900-1000 m and reaches up to 2,202 meters in Schroffenstein, and the west little Karas Mountains located, a up to 1500 meters high folded mountains.
