Great Malvern

Great Malvern is the historic town center of Malvern ( Worcestershire ) in England. Here is next to the City Hall of Malvern also the management of the Malvern Hills District. The nearby towns of Barnard's Green, Little Malvern, Malvern Link, Malvern Wells, Malvern North and West Malvern are referred to together with the Malvern Hills as The Malverns.

History

The town of Great Malvern emerged since the year 1085 near the Great Malvern Priory. In the 19th century, Great Malvern gained importance as a spa. The present town was built Malvern 1900 by the merger of places Great Malvern and Malvern Link. They were until then the urban districts of Great Malvern and Malvern Link.

Culture

In Malvern there every year under the name Malvern Fringe Festival is one of the oldest Fringe Festival. Furthermore, there is the Malvern Theatres in the Winter Gardens, which are also used for music events.
